Susan Sarandon is one of Hollywood’s all-time greats. Famously known for her portrayal in the timeless film Thelma and Louise. Throughout her successful career, Susan has been nominated for numerous awards and has won a British Academy Film Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and nine Golden Globe Awards. Other popular films in which she starred include Dead Man Walking, Pretty Baby, The Witches of Eastwick, Little Women, Atlantic City, Lorenzo’s Oil.
What makes Sarandon so special is that she has used her A-list status for the greater good. She is a political activist and an ambassador for UNICEF. UNICEF awarded her with their Humanitarian Award in 2006 for her contribution towards the fight against hunger. At 73 years of age, Sarandon isn’t slowing down and is still active in the film industry as well as in the fight against worldly issues.
