Richard Chamberlain – March 31, 1934

Richard Chamberlain rose to fame as Dr. Kildare in hit NBC TV series Dr. Kildare. He was in his early 20s when he appeared on the TV show that changed his life forever. Richard was born in 1934 in Beverly Hills and has been an active actor and singer since 1958. Richard bravely released an autobiography titled Shattered Love where he shocked fans when he revealed his gender orientation. Richard concealed his true gender until he was 55 years old.

Despite his personal struggles Richard achieved unmountable successes and was decorated with awards including the Golden Apple award, Golden Globe award which he won in 1963. He also won the Clavell de Plata Award in 1982 and the Aftonbladet TV Price in 1985. In 2011, Chamberlain was honored for his exploits in his career and awarded with the Steiger award in Germany. He is still living in Los Angeles.
