Barbara Eden – August 23, 1931

Barbara Eden is best known for her role in I Dream of Jeannie. Born in 1931, Barbara Eden isn’t just an actress, she is also a singer. Barbara discovered her passion for singing at an early age when she sang in the church choir during her teenage years.  The multi-talented Barbara is a graduate of the City College of San Francisco. She has appeared in television shows including Adventures in Paradise, Crossroads, Father Knows Best, The Virginian, December Bride, I Love Lucy, Saints and Sinners, and Gunsmoke.

In 1979, she became a brand ambassador for L’eggs pantyhose and in 1988, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She also received an honorary degree from the University of West Los Angeles. Barbara hasn’t had it all rosy as in 2001, she lost her son Matthew Ansara. Her latest film was released this year where she portrayed Mrs. Claus in My Adventures with Santa.
