Veteran Stars You Thought Were Long Gone but Are Not Even Planning Their Retirement
Lulu – November 3, 1948
Lulu is a British singer with a voice that’s impossible to forget once heard. Her powerful vocals turned her from a small-time musician in the United Kingdom to an internationally renowned singer with hits like “To Sir with Love” and “The Man with the Golden Gun.”
And no one should be more familiar with some of her work than fans of the “James Bond” movies with those title songs. To think that Lulu was only 15 when she made her mark with a cover of “Shout” by the Isley Brothers. It’s been over six decades, yet her work continues. She even scheduled an extensive UK Tour in 2023.
