Jimmy Carter – $10 Million

Jimmy Carter served as the 39th president of the United States for four years, starting in 1977. He became the chief executive when the country was grappling with many issues at home and abroad. Although his ability to deal with the problems has been questionable, he is known for his work in diplomacy and advocacy; during his presidential tenure, he was also awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in 2002.

Carter took over the family farms after the death of his father passed away and was the first person in his community to run for Georgia Senate in 1962. Carter announced his run for presidentship in the United States in 1974 and won the election in 1976. He served one term and eventually lost to Ronald Reagan.

He had already sold his family’s peanut farming business for $1.5 million, and later on, he concentrated on different things at different phases in his career. His net worth currently rests at $10 million.
