Iconic Woodstock Festival Photos That Prove That They Were a Combination of Pure Fun and Heady Performances

JIMI HENDRIX – THE STAR-SPANGLED BANNER
Did Jimi Hendrix belong to the 1960s era or did the era belong to him? Well, whatever you may think he was one of the most impactful singers and he created a major impact on the Woodstock Festival. Even his costume for the festival was pretty unique, those white beaded costumes. The singer rendered the song The Star-Spangled Banner one of the most popular performances of the festival.
Who would leave a performance of Jimi Hendrix? Well, that’s exactly what happened at the festival as by the time he performed most of the crowd had left but Jimi still performed to his heart’s content while the rest of the band members offered him full support. The true Jimi fans remained and enjoyed the quintessential Jimi Hendrix performance and most of them lived to the tale of a stellar night!
JOHNNY WINTER GIVES THE CROWD WHAT THEY WANT
Johnny Winters was an American singer and guitarist who was known for his high-energy blues-rock albums and live performances in the late 1960s and 1970s. The three Grammy Award-winning albums churned out one of the most thrilling performances of the Woodstock festival. The songs he sang were, Mama Talk to Your Daughter, MeansTown Blue, and Tell the Truth. The electrifying stage presence was palpable and the people simply couldn’t have enough of the stunning performance.
However, one important tenet of information to note here is how most of the names of the key performances in the event had names beginning with the letter J. Right from Jery Gracia to Johnny Winter. Is that just a happy coincidence or is there more to it?
